Mandatory Briefing Items

Mandatory Briefing Item's are required to be checked prior to logging onto a control position. This list will display any MBI's that are currently active. Concerns regarding MBI's shall be directed to the Initiator of the MBI.

MBIs supersede any SOP, even those released after the MBI. Once an MBI is completely incorporated into the SOP, it will be removed from the list below. Until then, it is in effect.

Authorized NOTAMs

This list will display any Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) that are currently active and approved to be simulated. Concerns regarding NOTAMs shall be directed to the Senior Staff.

  • Authorized NOTAMs are required to be checked prior to logging onto a control position.
  • Authorized NOTAMs should be disseminated to the pilot by including them in the airport ATIS for which they apply unless specified otherwise.
  • Dates are in the format [YEAR] [MONTH] [DAY] [UTC TIME] unless specified otherwise.
  • Every effort should be made to have pilots comply with the current NOTAMs; however, if a pilot does not wish to simulate the NOTAM or is too new to simulate the NOTAM, then the controller shall consider the NOTAM null and void.
  • Anything NOT included in this list is strictly PROHIBITED from being simulated on VATSIM.
